How does it work?
The Maternity Allowance Calculator shows what your monthly income will be while on maternity leave.
You just need your due date and salary to see an initial Maternity Allowance forecast. You can alter your pay details, child benefit etc. to get a more accurate forecast afterwards.
The calculator makes a number of assumptions about your financial situation when calculating your forecast, you can find out more about these assumptions here.
The Standard Maternity Allowance Rates for 2020-2021 are
- £151.20, or 90% of your average weekly earnings before tax for 39 weeks
Use our Maternity Benefits Eligibility Calculator to check that you qualify for the standard rate. It maybe that you're not employed yet still qualify for a lower rate of Maternity Allowance - this is something we hope to add to the calculator in the future.
